Long Overdue

So alot has happened since the last time I posted. We are back in Phoenix. We are still trying to adjust to the weather :-) We are living with my parents, who have so kindly agreed to let us stay for awhile. We sold all of our furniture to help pay for the gas in the rental truck, so the rest of our stuff is in a storage until. Jeremy is trying to sell alot of his DVD's, comics and books to make some extra money so we can buy a car.

On that note, we are still looking for a car. We are praying for a free car or a car someone can let us barrow until we have enough money to buy a car. Again my parents are helping us out and letting us use one of their cars when I have a babysitting job, or we need to go someone where. We are hoping by August to have enough money to buy one. Or if someone wants to give us a car, that would be okay too :-)

We are still looking for jobs. I have applied to alot of school districts, and I am praying I hear back from any of them. But I really want Kyrene, Chandler, or Gilbert school district. But at this point I am not picky :-)

I think that is it for now. Sorry it took so long to update. Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day!

Update

Here is a update for you all.

Jeremy and I will be moving back to Phoenix at the end of the month. It is something we have prayed over and talked over, alot. We have been trying very hard to make everything work up here, but unfortunately it is not happening.

We will be moving in with my amazing parents. They are truly wonderful for letting us move in for awhile while we get back on our feet. It will hard, I am sure, but it is the best for us right now.

I am still applying for district jobs in Phoenix. I am praying I can finally teach! I am kind of over changing poopy diapers. Lol. That is not what I went to school for :-)

So that is an update. If you would like, you can pray for us. We can always use the prayer. :-) We are going to miss Oregon, it was just starting to get pretty up here. Lol. But we are excited to be going 'home.' We miss our family, church and our amazing friends. So we shall see some of you very soon :-)

P.S. If you know of any summer job, let me know. I am looking. And if you know of any teaching job, those would be helpful too. Oh oh and maybe any house sitting jobs that we and the dog can do, also welcomed. :-) Okay that is all. Bye :-)

Blessed

Jeremy and I are blessed.

We have been stuggling to pay our bills week to week and someone has stepped in and has offered to buy our food for next week. This is a huge blessing. We are so thankful for someone providing us with our basic need.

My car has been on the downward path to not working. Tonight I was driving back to work, for a work meeting, and as I was pulling into the parking lot my car died. Steering wheel locked, radio dead, all the lights were on. I tried my hardest to get the car into a spot to park but sadly it would not make it. I tried to jump the car, nope. I call my Daddy crying, poor Daddy, and I am completly lost. My wonderful co-worker, Bethany, says "don't worry, I will take you to work tomorrow." Then Bethany's wonderful husband, Thomas, goes and picks up Jeremy at home and brings him to my work. Long story short, The Ogilvie's are amazing! Thank you so much.

God is providing us with things we need and we are not super stressed, what an amazing feeling :-) We are more at peace with things regarding Phoenix. We are praying for jobs somewhere. Well that is what has happened to the Fishers in the past 2 days. Food-yesterday, car-today. God is amazing!!!

Jobs, jobs, jobs

So Jeremy and I are looking for new and better jobs. Jeremy is still pursuing the job with LifeWay. David, the person he talked to last week, will contact HR and set up a phone interview with Jeremy. If that goes well, they will fly Jeremy out to Nashville for a interview. And if that goes well, there are 2 options. First is, Jeremy could become an assistant manager till something opens up at another store. Or second, he could shadow someone and get his training that way. Both options would move us from Portland.

I am currently looking for a teaching job in Phoenix. Yes I said it, PHOENIX. For some unknown reason, they are hiring and Oregon is not. So I am looking there. Jeremy is applying for jobs here. Really confusing I know. We are trying to open as many doors as we can so God can open and close the right doors. We would LOVE to stay here, but we know God won't steer us in the wrong direction.

So that is what is new in the Fisher world. We are not sure what we are doing, but we are trusting God and his amazing plan that he has for us!!

First Post

Hi everyone!! We have joined the blogging world! I wanted a way to let people know what is happening up here in the great Northwest. So I thought this would be the best way.  :-)

Well, Jeremy and I have been up here in Beaverton since November and a lot has happened. I got a full time job teaching 2 year olds at Kinder Care. This is not the greatest job in the world, but hey - it is a job.  :-) Jeremy got a part-time job working at Lifeway Christian Bookstore. He is working part-time on his comics as well. He is almost done with the first issue! Praise Jesus!

We have some stuff that could be happening within Jeremy's job that could change some things. We can not really go into more detail than that. I will let you all know when we know what is going on. But you could pray that God's will be done and that we have the faith to follow him.

We have found a wonderful church just around the corner from us, First Baptist Church of Beaverton. It reminds us a lot of Church On Mill. They have a Sunday School class for nearly/newly marrieds. It is a great group of people! Most of them either have a child around or under the age of 2 or they are pregnant. Jeremy and I and one other couple are not with child. But the children are GREAT! Super cute and well behaved. We feel very blessed to have a found such a great church that we can call home!

Oh and Jasper is not loving the rain - but I am.  :-) We have had to buy him some sweaters so he can stay warm. Poor puppy. We keep telling him. "You are going to LOVE the spring and summer."  I don't think he believes us.  :-)

Well, I think I will call it good for our first post. Keep watching as we post more about Portland and jobs and just life in The Fisher home.
